20 Gauge Brass Rib- "The West Branch"
This 20 gauge brass ribs combines my love of ceramics and fly fishing. It features a handy cutout of a trout for grip. It is named after the famed West branch of the Penobscot river in northern Maine.
This rib has two slightly different profiles that converge into a useful small radius. I use this rib most for bowls, plates and platters.
The 20 gauge brass will leave even the coarsest clays buttery smooth, while not getting worn down with "saw teeth" like wood and plastic. The brass will patina with use into a beautiful antiqued finish.
The lower picture is the brass when new, the upper image is the brass when it has its beautiful patina from use. You can always wipe the rib off between uses or polish the brass if you want to keep it golden.
